So, flamingos get their pink color from eating algae.

Just learned that from the weather channel. Neat, huh?

Why was the weather channel talking about flamingos?

I remember finding that out in the book, What Makes Flamingos Pink?. Yes, that's the actual title.

The weather channel has a roadcrew and sometimes they show segments where the roadcrew is visiting. That particular segment was about a flamingo park in Florida.

Great title. I would totally pick it up to find the answer. (Outside of the internets. ^^)

It really is a nice book; there's a series of them with a lot of pretty useless but ultimately fun trivia.
