Here's my books that I read for March.
Stormrage by Richard A. Knaak - Well this book definitely ties up a bunch of Night Elf story loose ends. Teldrassil, Fandral, the Emerald Nightmare and Eranikus are just a few. I enjoyed reading it, seeing how it only took me a day to finish it. I did find some problems with time flow near the end at Darnassus, especially with Broll cause he got tranq'd at one point and then he seemed lucid and running around shortly afterwards.
Malfurion is back and trying his hardest to find a way to fight the Nightmare. And it was great seeing characters I knew in game. The ending seemed a bit over the top but the very end of the story was cute. And interestingly enough, Lucan Foxblood turned out to be a likable character to me, even though one reviewer didn't like him and his history is very 'we've seen that before in fanfics'. I liked the bit at the end where he was waving at the dragons.
I'm a little miffed that there were no mention of the draenei in Forest Song when that chapter happened. But that's me. I did like how Broll proved he was worthy of his antlers. :) I would say, if you just want to read it, either wait for paperback where it's cheaper to purchase or borrow it. Or hit Wowwiki or someplace like that. It's definitely fluff but I enjoyed it enough to make it a good purchase for me. While the end did seem a bit much for me, *cough*overpowered*cough*, the path there was interesting.
The book definitely made me want to quest through the areas that the book affected, like Ashenvale and Auberdine. :) With a low level hunter I may just do that again. Besides, Cataclysm is also affecting those areas heavily so best to enjoy them while you can. Though I do wonder if perhaps any of the affects will be in the game eventually. I know Malfurion will be but what else. I can't wait to find out.
Nabari no Ou Vol. 03 - Yaaay! Another volume! :D Rokujou is hilarious when he's conning people. "He says such sarcastic lines with such a straight face." We meet another village and their chief, and with the attempts at assassination of Mr. Frosty, it ends on a horrible cliff hanger. Yoite is a mystery and continues to be so. And I do think Kumohira did have something to do with Rokujou's family being killed, whether he was there as a bystander or something more sinister.
Black Butler Vol. 01 - This series has a gothic look and feel. Though it's based in Queen Victoria's time, there are definitely some components that are from a future time period. So it's loosely placed in that time period. I want to say, that this series gives me a bit of Hellsing feel towards the end of the first volume, but it's amusing in how Sebastian is the perfect butler. The house servants are pretty useless without him. And the head of house, Ciel, has some backstory I'm sure we'll be seeing in future volumes. Definitely not a happy childhood from the hints I read. Interesting volume and I look forward to volume two.
