City of Heroes stuff

So, yesterday I was working on Dark Watcher's arc and that's a fun one. Though it was sad at one point because one of my favorite NPCs was killed off. I liked it when Sefu Tendaji could work with us. He's a pretty honorable man and believed me (character wise) when there were renegade Vanguard units out there. He only had to fight us when Longbow's orders were to do so. (Though he's a tough one to take down.) He even helped us afterwards. :> So it was pretty sad when when we found him after Nemesis troops killed him.
Which was even more sadder, since the previous mission I ran I failed because of bad ambush lag and the FIVE waves of Nemesis soldiers that went after my Nemesis deserter escortee instead of me. I ran the next Longbow mission hoping it would cheer me up a bit. And that's where Sefu Tendaji was found dead. Sucks. By the way, the room where he was found also sucks. One way because I run on Tenacious which means more spawns. Another way as there were TWO Fake Nemesis bosses and at least 10 or more Nemesis soldiers and Gewehr Jaegers that ALL got aggroed when I tried to pick off one group. I died fast on that one. And Rise of the Phoenix can only do so much against that group when I'm a bit away from them. But I got them all. mwahahaha
So, Nemesis base in the Shadow Shard. Pretty damn neat. I had to find proof that Nemesis started the war. And take on two Automatons, Positron and Manticore. Here's the dialog from Manticore's fight. Which was doing pretty well in, both of us being archers. (Though the lag when they get to a certain percentage of health and say something is getting annoying.)
[NPC] Manticore Automaton: I hope you're ready to fight, (HERONAME), because WITTY BANTER INSERT FAILURE!
[NPC] Manticore Automaton: You call that fighting? I call it ERROR IN SARCASM DATABASE
[NPC] Manticore Automaton: I guess you really are BELITTLING_OBSERVATION
[NPC] Manticore Automaton: Well, FILE MISSING: KICK_THEM_WHEN_THEYRE_DOWN.TXT!
[NPC] Manticore Automaton: Oh yeah, well SARCASM ENGINE FAILURE. SHUTTING DOWN SYSTEM
I looked around a bit for Positron but didn't find him, so I figured get the stuff from the safe, and go look for him later. I click on the safe, and then boom! The Positron Automaton is standing there ready to kick my butt. Which happened a bit. I was low on Inspirations after Manticore and he's a bit tougher. Took me two runs to the hospital before I managed to take him down. And because of the method Portal Corp got me into the mission, I had to run back to the mission entrance to get out of it. I thought it a neat touch.
The Get the News Out mission after that was neat. I had to help keep at least one generator alive at WSPDR in the Rogue Isles. Those Nemesis Mole Machines are huge. And annoying to take out. Though they do nothing but sit there with at least 5000 hit points, so its more like target with one power on auto, go get drink, click more powers, continue to click powers, and so on. But the Silver Mantis was supposed to be there...and she wasn't. I was also supposed to take her out according to my mission directives, but that one disappeared around the same time I was helping to save one generator. Huh.
Next mission, lets go lag me out by a) putting the mission door in Point Du Hoc, the Vanguard fort nearest the Rikti crashed ship, and b) its a mission with Point Du Hoc at the start. Grr. I did manage on the second time to jump to the corner of the map to let my connection settle. Although I did find out one neat thing that I could do when I'm lagged out due to ambush lag.
See, this mission had to do with a defecting Rikti Homeworld General. So I needed to come in and help keep the pursuit waves of Rikti from killing her. Bu'Dekka was pretty awesome. I don't think her hitpoints dropped more than a third. I kept her targeted and when they got close enough to her to where she started fighting, I also got to fight without having to worry about targeting. It worked pretty well, since I keep my tier 2 power on auto when I'm solo. I just clicked on powers as I hoped they would fire and Inspirations desperately when I was too low on hitpoints. I died twice and I waited on the second time for Rise of the Phoenix to be recharged so I could get back into the battle. Thankfully they weren't aggroed to her when I was dead.
So it was a lot of fun yesterday. And I have one more mission to go in Dark Watcher's arc. And it looks like its going to hurt. Hro'Dtohz is back, and he hurt like hell last time. And there's some other AVs (Nemesis) I have to take on too. I better bring a full tray of Lucks and some Respites. Looks like I get my pets back again (Fusionette and Faultline) that I faced Hro'Dtohz with last time.
Hero1's chatlog event (with questions asked) about the Mission Architect in the Training Room server's Pocket D. I should mention here that there's references to other arcs in the game from the people asking questions. So there's a bit of spoilery with the new Midnighter arc, and especially the Lady Grey Task Force last mission. If you know who the Honoree is, then that's okay. ^_^ But for those who just want Hero1's answers without the questions, then click here.
Positron's post with more info on the Mission Architect that was given out at PAX by Hero1.
Also, I think I'm getting sick again. Joy. At the very least, the sinuses are mutinying again. I pretty much felt them last night declaring war.
(Yes, yes, I know. :P )
