riariSo, I mentioned below that I restarted Kingdom Hearts 2 on the hardest mode, right?
Playing Roxas again was fun, but coming from Sora being a silver death dealer with two Keyblades to "I have a combo!" Roxas was a little tough. And it being in a harder mode didn't help. Totally had to redo the battles often. It was most amusing to see the photo Seifer was refering to when he said he had "undeniable proof that we totally owned you lamers." Basically, it was Seifer and his gang and Roxas off to the side totally flat on the ground. Very amusing.
Still very sad for Roxas. He's earned his chance for angsting. Being half of a soul will do that. (Still love his character.) If you think about it, how much of Roxas' personality was of the Twilight Town persona? Had to play again to see after seeing a thread discussion about it. Roxas does seem a bit cynical as an Organization member.
I really did enjoy all of the voice acting for these parts. (The exception being Aerith's. Very stiff.) The kids have great voice actors and it's fun playing "Guess that Organization XIII member!" from the voice alone.
Oh! And Mickey saved me twice in Beast's Castle! What the hell? I thought I might have that happen since it was a harder mode and I expected to die more often. He helped against the Threshold and Possessor battle and against Dark Thorn battle. Instead of Sora just floating and the options to continue or quit, there was a white screen and the options "I'm not going to give up!" and quit. And you play Mickey for a short time. Mainly to either knock the enemy down a bit and to build up the Drive Gauge to heal Sora and the others. Very awesome. And I heard the percentage is lower for that happening every time it happens. So it's weird that I got it to happen twice in one area.
Awww man, Xaldin is going to kick my ass later. Should be fun. (Definite love for his voice.)
