I think I've mentioned it before, but playing the online game City of Heroes is ironically giving me more time to read books. While I haven't gotten back to reading non-anime related novels yet, I have just finished the first two Gundam Seed novelizations and I think about six-seven graphic novels this year while waiting for zones to load.
Granted, the Gundam Seed novels were more of a "got caught up in reading it and so stopped playing to read it" bit. Which I really enjoyed reading the two novels while only having seen the first three discs of the series. The second novel, just released last week, covered bits I haven't gotten to yet. And boy is Flay a bitch! Yeesh. I'm thinking her plans will backfire. They seem to be starting to already. Its interesting that the book starts out with short profiles of the main characters and tech specs about the Gundams and ships used in the series. Reading over these, while not a must, is helpful because sometimes the text doesn't explain what the ship is firing.
Today was definitely a reading day, since I finished Descendants of Darkness seven and eight and Gundam Seed novel 02. Yesterday I read the first Gundam Seed novel, which was thicker than the second, and started Descendants of Darkness seven. I like all this reading. I'm really getting caught up on my horrible graphic novel backlog.
And yesterday, I bought shoes! *gasp* I got another pair of my favorite boots to replace the pair that was hurting my feet and I finally, finally have a pair of tennis shoes for walking the track. I'm breaking in the boots now and I shall start breaking in the tennis shoes tomorrow. Now my feet should get used to standing the right way, but if they continue to hurt like this, it might be time to visit the chiropractor again.
I think I'm going to watch Fafner vol. 02 before bed tonight. I want to continue watching the series since I like it so much and now I have three volumes to catch up. Kinda like how behind I am on reading/watching Fullmetal Alchemist but that's different since I want to watch the anime first before reading the graphic novels since the impact of certain events seems better in the anime. But maybe that's me since I have heard that people like the manga a bit more than the anime.
Wow, this entry was rambling.
