I was evilly tempted at Fry's yesterday and failed...
I bought City of Heroes. ^_^ I liked playing the trial so much that I now own the game. Curses, their ploy worked!! It's just so odd that before this game, I wasn't keen on MMORPGs since they don't seem have an ending or a really connected storyline. (That and my connection speed will make a lot of them just not really worth playing.) But this one is just so fun to play right now. It helps that I have friends that I can bug for help if the areas get too hard. And I have a character that can solo with only a little difficulty. I spent like an hour last night reading the manual for the stuff I missed or haven't picked up on yet. The slang is another issue. Though I just learned what some of it means when
mwerevu helped me through one mission for Perez Park. (Lowest level trial zone near the cities my butt. I'll take the Hollows over the packs that roam Perez. I at least got two missions done by myself (with only helpful assistance by local heroes) in the Hollows compared to the one mission I had to get help on to not die horribly.)
I'm also looking forward to City of Villains. That should be fun.
My friends and I finished up watching Gungrave yesterday. I really enjoyed the fight between Bunji and Grave. It was just a lot of fun and even though Bunji was made into a Superior, it was what his character would do. The cat was a nice touch. ^_^
But the most disappointing fight was between Grave and Bear Walken. Bear Walken was an awesome character just by sheer presence and how he handled himself. But to get Superior-ized just to fight Grave was disappointing. Yeah, he probably wouldn't have done too well against the necrolized Grave but I think he could have given Grave a run for the money.
I don't know what to say about the last episodes. Grave (Brandon Heat) fought to get to Harry McDowel and then spent moments hashing it out verbally before the organization found them. Brandon strove to protect Harry during the fight and they both ended it by shooting each other (they didn't really show it, but alluded to since they were both pointing their guns to each other's head. Not that Grave had long to "live" anyway). It was friendship, brotherhood, whatever you wanted to call it, but Brandon choose Harry McDowel to stick to, even though he admits it was a wrong choice.
Ah, I'm messing it all up but it was a really good series to watch. I recommend it.
Now it's back to sorting doujinshi from the adult and not so adult...which considering this is the yaoi section, there's not that many explicit yaoi ones I've run into so far.

Bunji's fight was great, and Bear's had so much wasted potential. He was the only likable character up to that point... bah. I liked Gungrave though.
