Soo! New stills have been released from Warner Bros about the newest Harry Potter movie being released next year.

OMG!

Harry's new hairstyle I'll have to get used to. I know I read a recent article about how Daniel Radcliffe had mentioned he thinks the new hairstyle is like Harry going home after fourth year and just attacking it. And I've vaguely seen how it looks in one countdown counter. But... huh.

Dolores Umbridge's actress is...very much her. Holy crap. And very pink. And ugh. But yeah...

I do like Luna's actress. Radish earrings! We want radish earrings!

Ah ha! A fic rec! Been a while since we've seen one of these on this page, hmm?

(Really, because more friends were added and as such, I'm not sure how many of you want to see me recommend fanfics that I read from various fandoms including Harry Potter. So, if you don't want to see this just scroll right on by. And in all seriousness, if you don't want to see any fics recommended on this journal, let me know. I can set up a filter. (Or I can lj-cut them or something.) :> )

Cartographer's Craft by [livejournal.com profile] copperbadge.
Summary from [livejournal.com profile] copperbadge: In the summer after Harry's sixth year, Harry and Remus uncover a section of the Marauder's Map which has been hidden for the past twenty years, releasing a carbon copy of sixteen-year-old Sirius Black from its depths. As they prepare for the impending war, Sirius must find a place for himself in this new world, Harry must find a way to destroy Voldemort, and Remus must face his own past while trying to build a tenuous future with Tonks. PG through R rating, RL/NT, RW/HG, HP/SB. Post-HBP, contains extensive spoilers.

I've been re-reading this fic over the last couple of days on my Palm and I just finished it again. I love the feeling of finishing a really good fic. And this fic is very, very good! I highly recommend reading it. It does contain slash and not a common pairing but its very well done. If you're interested, give it a try. The page its linked to is the journal that it is posted to. Just scroll down a little until you find chapter one. There are 43 chapters with epilogue.

Okay, summer colds suck. Especially when I have tons of unpacking/packing to do for Anime Expo and school finishing this week on Thursday. And I'm watching the store by myself for the weekend and part of the next week.

Suck.

So, I heard on the news radio that J.K. Rowling is going to kill off two characters in book 7, and it might possibly even be Harry. She wants to end the series in a way that no non-author sequels can happen. So I figure Harry and possibly Snape will bite it. Unless she's saying that to mess with our minds. ^_^

Woah again

I just finished watching Fullmetal Alchemist volumes five and six.

All I have to say about it is: woah, that's just...wow.

(Need processing time, so I might post about it again later but that was a lot of info shoved into two discs.)

I have a feeling that this series is now really getting going. I'll be watching volume seven tomorrow.

Also, according to the Leaky Cauldron, Box Office Mojo is reporting that Goblet of Fire is the tenth highest grossing movie of all time. Narnia is currently listed at 30. Let's see how high it can climb.

ETA: Also, need to make that database I've been thinking about lately. I'm starting to forget what I already have since half of my books are behind other books. *shifty look* And my doujinshi...

School is finished! ...for the fall.

I took my last final tonight and now it's finished. I believe I did pretty well on it and if not well, then decent. I got a horrible headache though right now. Now I get to see if there are any books that I want to sell back. ^_^

And last weekend I watched two movies, one of them for the second time.

Narnia spoilers! )

Goblet of Fire spoilers! )

Now it's onto seeing King Kong this Friday. Which I saw a [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes poster [livejournal.com profile] trollprincess remark about it: Imagine Titanic, if none of it had sucked. ^_^

Mwahahah!

Finally! A Ravenclaw scarf!

For those interested, The Leaky Cauldron today posted a link to photos of the Goblet of Fire prop exhibit in Japan, taken by a reader. You can see them here at their gallery.

I only have gone through a few pages so far but its really awesome looking. I enjoyed seeing the props exhibit for the Lord of the Rings but I doubt the Goblet of Fire exhibit would ever come down here. Though I guess this exhibit allowed pictures since they were taken so well. If the exhibit came here, I doubt it would allow pictures. *sigh*

The Leaky Cauldron also posted a link to the Forbes article for the wealthiest top fifteen fictional character, of which Lucius Malfoy is at fifteen. ^_^

I saw Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire today.

So good! Oh so damn good! It jumped around a lot (I was all ready for Quidditch match then...back to camp) but it still was very good and was able to convey plot. I thought Dumbledore was much more forceful in this movie. And Alan Rickman just as awesome as always...

And Jason Isaacs is teh smex. *drools*

[livejournal.com profile] sarcastic_elf and I plan to view it again soon, well repeatedly while its in its theater run, but also in huge version...aka IMAX.

More on this later...when I'm more coherent (hopefully).

Bring on the slash! Woo!

Yaaaays! Tomorrow is Harry Potter movie day! And its cold enough for me to wear my scarf (which I've been doing for the last two days anyway). Yaay!

So! The new Harry Potter trailers are out, both a new international one and an actual domestic one released by Warner Brothers. Links are available at The Leaky Cauldron or your favorite Harry Potter news site. ^_^

My reaction: Yaaaaaaaay! I only got to watch the new domestic one once (it took forever to download on my home connection) so I hope to watch it on the big screen shortly. ^_^

And in other news, .hack//GU Part 01 was given a release date of November 14, 2005. Also, Xenosaga Episode III screens have been posted here. They look very nice! I just need to start Xenosaga II over the holidays or summer since the cut scenes are so long, I can't play it on school nights. Although the subtitle for Xenosaga Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra makes me laugh as it is very familiar. ^_^

Success!!!

Ah ha! I knew it! According to the Leaky Cauldron, we will indeed have an official Goblet of Fire trailer!

Goblet Trailer Attached to Corpse Bride, to Hit Web Shortly

Hey, [livejournal.com profile] sarcastic_elf, guess what movie we're going to go see! ^_^ (Luckily, I was interested in the movie already. ^_^ Unless you don't want to see it, then we can go watch some other movie.)

In interesting news, the Harry Potter audio books can now legally be downloaded from the iTunes site. You can download them singly by book or the entire series released so far. And you can buy an iPod with the Hogwarts crest with all of the audio books.

That would be somewhat tempting since I've always wanted an iPod and having all of the books available to listen to outside of my car would be nice too. But I don't have the money available for something like that. Probably a good thing too.

Thanks to The Leaky Cauldron for the news!

Wow. I'm just overwhelmed.

Spoilers for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince )

Now to go read all the journals I've been skipping for fear of spoilers!
