I think I might have heard about that one. You know, I'm not surprised about the controversy about that. Heaven forbid we try to have rights.
Considering the current mood of our legislature (and Texas' voters), I'm pretty sure it will pass. I was happy that at the presidental elections, our state wasn't one of the eleven that banned gay marriage. Especially considering we were the state that had the sodomy law. But now, I'm angry that its a possibility that Texas voters will choose to vote this bill into law (or an amendment).
Now that I'm awake, yes, the second bill is horrible. I'm hoping the legislature runs out of time before they can even think about looking at this bill. Not that the first one is any better.
