LJ and Statistics Gathering

So, for those that haven't been following lj_biz, which by the way is pretty much now the News site for LJ, LJ has changed the way that it gathers site user statistics.

The important paragraph for those who want to opt out:

As always, we are providing a way for any user to opt out of contributing to the stats-gathering (even though we know it runs the risk of statistically biasing our results). If you’d like to opt out, go to the Admin Console and type "set opt_exclude_stats 1". This opt out applies to the entire implementation of Omniture -- site-schemed pages and the new inclusion of journals, profiles and communities. If you've already opted out, you don't need to do so again.

Okay, I really don't mean to be spamming but I had to share this. ^_^

Tonight in my senior project management class, we learned about project criteria, how we would rank them, and how would we measure them. How did we do this with?

With chocolate chip cookies!

And not imaginary ones either. Our professor brought a shopping bag of four packages of cookies. And we made our lists of what would constitute the best chocolate chip cookie. Then he brought out milk and cups, and we judged them by the criteria we made.

It was definitely the best way I learned something.

Yay, gave the big presentation for this one class that the paper of doom was from. Paper was finished today around 1:40pm. Inkjet of course ran out of ink in the middle of printing my paper for everybody in the class at 3pm. So the mad rush to school to get there on time, and I ran off during the next presentation after mine to finish printing it all out. Even had a few people come up to me at end of class while I was hanging around and said it was a good topic.

So, phew. Finished with that. Test in that class next week, project management plan due Wednesday, but I'm not really working on that one, test upcoming in another class... But nothing is imperative for the next two days, so I'm going to play. Definitely City of Heroes since I've been not playing it this month cause of that paper.

ETA: I've played City of Heroes for two years this month! Woo!
