Floating away

Once again, the store is flooded. It's nice to know that my desk is in the path of the lowest point of the store. I didn't notice it was flooded. The street was looking like it might but I figured I'd get some more work done. Since my desk is in the back, I just tried to keep an ear out for most customers. Then I heard a weird sound, walked out to the front, and saw a wave of water slap up against the door as a big truck drove by.

So yeah, scrambled to get stuff up off the floor.

There's an inch of water standing everywhere except at my boss's desk. Lucky bastard has the highest point of the store. But the servers are all there too, so that's not so bad.
