Eyes Okay...now what?

I've been having pretty bad headaches this last two weeks...though they seemed to be getting better in the last two days. But to make sure, my dad gave me money to go visit my optomotrist since a lot of the headaches were focused over my eyes.

Now I can mostly focus properly after my eye exam, as they usually dilate my eyes near the end of the exam, here are the results. My perscription, pressure, etc, did not change. After describing my symptoms and running through the exam my doctor suggested that since the headaches spiked in the last couple of weeks, they may be sinus headaches. Especially since I've woken up with a bad headache in the last week. Apparently I'm not the only one suffering these symptoms as two of his staff had the same thing. And we've been having a lot of cold fronts with storms pushing through the area. Pressure changes and so on. Also could be related that we're warming up to spring temperatures and some flowers are already blooming. I also have a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders lately so that was not helping.

So, he suggested possibly taking a low level histamine or warm showers in the morning. If they persist, then possibly try to figure out the triggers and go to the doctor.

At least my perscription didn't change. It's already bad enough. :>

Happy Extra Day!

Leap Year Day!

That odd day every four years we have to make up for the fact that our calendar year is set for 365 days a year and not 365.25 that Earth's solar year rotation actually is.

So I suggest for today...marvel in the oddness that a February 29th gives us. Or go play the lottery. :>

Notice of sorts

Not that I think my friendslist is too big into images, but I thought I should pass this alone. Copied from [livejournal.com profile] painless_j 'cause it's easier to explain this way:

LJ has a feed for the latest images posted publicly here:
http://www.livejournal.com/stats/latest-img.bml

Someone has set up a community to scrape off any image that is posted that meets LJ icon requirements and post them to a community.

Now, the part that's the most annoying is that the images are hotlinked from the image source.

You can opt out of your posts being included in the latest feed by going to the Admin Console and type in these commands:

Journal Users:
set latest_optout yes

Community maintainers:
set for "community name" latest_optout yes

The community mentioned above is [livejournal.com profile] iconscraper. [/end]

So, that also means that its possible some unlocked porn icon-like images are also being posted. And any image you click on goes to their journal and so forth. Also, hotlinking is bad! And you know, all those poor icons being uncredited and what not...

So there you are.

Computer Miscellany

So, seven restarts later, I now have McAfee virus scan uninstalled and reinstalled on my machine.

This is one of those weird things I do when I'm this tired. If there was something I've been meaning to find out why or just do computer-wise, I weirdly end up doing them. Just maybe not in the way I first thought I should. Like this morning's decision to uninstall McAfee.

Hmm, e-mail might be tackled next. My inbox at work has like 300 messages in it as I don't always clean it out.

On the odd side, playing Kingdom Hearts, and playing catching up on a fic that's been going on since KH1, has started me reading FF8 fanfics again. I always did want to clean up some of those older saved fanfic folders.

Also, Advent Children is next week. I expect it to be full of explosions, fights, and pretty boys. But also plot-light.

For once, a mostly non KH post ^_^

Tired.... *sloth*

I do not like being woken up in the morning by hearing King Kong on the surround system Mom has for her DVD player. Grrr.

You know what? I like Wednesdays because they are book days but also because its two more days until the weekend. Its like a slide downhill to Friday. It also helps that my last class for the week is on Wednesdays. Thursday is just this day that happens to be inbetween and feels really long because of it.

Ugh, first chance at registration for school for me is April 12th-13th. And one of the classes I should be taking is no longer going to be the same class. It's being combined with a class I already took. So my professor is telling me to not take it since it'll be the previous class all over again. I might take a security class instead. Need to see my counselor though. But this week is priority advising for graduating students and I'm not that for another year. Next week is walk-ins only so maybe I can sneak in on Monday or something. I wonder if there is a way to get out of the psychology courses I have to take.

And thank you thank you thank you for the AC at work finally, finally working!

This post brought to you by sleepiness! Now where's some caffiene? (Also, now that I'm at work world of faster internet, time to look for that video!)

We missed it! Die! *tries to run into stuff*

Tomorrow is book day! Lots of good stuff coming in tomorrow from DMP books. Yays! I'm happy that there is new books being released. Today was gorgeous though! A beautiful coolish spring day which is good since the AC epic is still ongoing.

I have high hopes that the lovely 1 gig of RAM I ordered will arrive this week. I got fed up with City of Heroes and my fantabulous 3 frames a sec lag times. Granted, that could be my modem, but I think my total lack of memory in this machine is hindering me a lot. Besides, I'm wanting to mess around with graphics again and the current Photoshop installation on this machine is wonky. All the new memory will help a lot. (Especially with Visual Studio, memory hog that it is.)

So sleepy though... Four hours of sleep on Monday and I got to bed late last night too due to trying to finish the book I was reading. Bah, need to wander back to finishing Economics quiz. I can't wait until I finish school. That'll be next year if all works out well...hopefully.

Also, have you ever wondered that a lot of professional chefs that appear on Food Network are men? Hmmm...

Leaps of notLogic

I have decided today that I either need more practice at cooking or that I need to take a basic cooking class.

Warning! Real life ahead! Runs! )

That ends the adventures of the me...well not really. I'm sure today is going to be full of me being clumsy and knocking into things.

And I hope the AC people come by today at work. This is starting to get epic.

Halfway through the month

Huh, I just realized today is the halfway point of the month. Well, the 14th is. Today's now the 15th, so we're past the halfway point.

The 14th wasn't bad. I got chocolate (yays!) and I brought cookies for my coworkers. And I packed fourteen boxes of books for Katsucon.

*sloths*

Now I'm getting some sleep because I am tired, and I'm a bit sore from Monday...from cleaning!

Books!

I think I've mentioned it before, but playing the online game City of Heroes is ironically giving me more time to read books. While I haven't gotten back to reading non-anime related novels yet, I have just finished the first two Gundam Seed novelizations and I think about six-seven graphic novels this year while waiting for zones to load.

Gundam Seed, books, shoes, anime, and books... )

Wow, this entry was rambling.
