Huh. I think that was some really bland chili I just ate. Weird. Not bad, but it definitely needed some more spices.

Anyways, just saw this: Tabula Rasa Shutting Down. Isn't that the game with the shrimp-whale ships?

Interesting Wiki link of the day? Centralia, Pennsylvania. You'll also want to click on this related one: Mine fire.

Yep, that's the one.

Ah. That was an interesting design for ships. And really, only my tired brain knows why I associated shrimp-whales for those ships. ^_^

In other sea-thing related news, I'm a squid now!

I'm Lvl 6 on my Peacebringer. So I get Bright Nova form, a flying squid. :>

It's also the game with the insane developer who came up with a mad scheme to take people's money and shoot himself into space (literally) armed with the DNA of those foolish enough to pay for the trip, along with a list of vapid pop-culture references masquerading as "Humanity's Greatest Achievements."

Shortly after, the game is announced as closing. Interesting, isn't it?

Yeah, that was my thought when I found out about it. But yeah... Crazy, madman idea.

Didn't think another NCSoft MMO would be closing so soon after Auto Assault. Because it seemed like Tabula Rasa was doing decently but a post I read on the CoH forum said that they were hemmorraging players since the game went live. Huh. I didn't think MMO's really died off. They don't even want to keep the servers going.

NCSoft kills off poor performers rather than stick them in a corner and poke the server on occasion like SOE. There's probably some business reason with development by an owned studio as opposed to just publishing.

TR also had the budget of two MMOs, because they scrapped the original idea well into development, two expensive ones at that, so it needed to perform exceptionally well.
