Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Comments Part 01
Okies, I've finally started on the book. Yeah, yeah, I'm slow. Well, slower than others who got the book at midnight as well. At least it's better than when book five came out. I didn't read that one until August. (I believe that was the summer solstice released book.)
So, comments of course. Part 1. Up to chapter 13.
I'm just typing up comments in Notepad as I read since I'm reading at my computer desk. ^_^
Up to Chapter 3:
I like the tone of this book already!
Oh Rita Skeeter, up to your old tricks again. That was a touching article by
the other writer though.
And that's how I figured the Dursleys would part. Except for Dudley. That was a shock. A nice one though. Maybe the Dementors did good after all.
Chapter 4:
He felt incredibly fond of all of them, even Mundungus, whom he had tried to trangle the last time they had met. For some reason I read that he was fond of strangling Mundungus. (And who doesn't!)
Oh the Trace. More fodder for ficcers. Always did wonder about that though.
And the seven Harrys! The comments before and after the polyjuice was hilarious.
But... Oh, oh Hedwig... *sniff*
Aaaand the action comes fast and furious. Who knows out of those that left, who had survived that ambush... I wonder what Snape's source is.
Chapter 5:
"Pathetic! With the whole world of ear-related humor before you, you go for holey?" Even injured, the twins have their priorities straight. :>
Oh another one. Woah. So are we going to lose half the cast before the end of the book?
So that's where Ollivander disappeared to.
Chapter 8:
Surprise! Viktor Krum!
Half the cast I tell you. Half the cast.
And we've hit a creepy part of the book.
Chapter 10:
Oh Regulus. What a way to go.
(Though it wasn't that hard to figure out that Regulus was the one who was R.A.B.)
Chapter 11:
Yay! We're finding out everybody's middle names in this last book.
Re: Remus - Hmm, Harry's got a point but he's being an idiot about it. Hopefully we will see Remus again. ^_^
Love that Kreacher is beating up on Mundungus.
And oh holy crap! Umbridge! WTF!
Chapter 12:
Woah, what a change for Kreacher. Guess he just needed attention after all.
Ugh. Umbridge is using... ugh.
Chapter 13:
Well, that was bravely stupid. Though they may have saved quite a few lives
with that gambit.
Haha, just skimming oh so briefly over my flist reveals at least ten posts about Deathly Hallows. So no flist reading whatsoever till I finish.

It's interesting that Regulas, who was supposed to the 'bad' brother had more compassion toward Kreacher, who was considered a lesser being, than the 'good' brother, Sirius.

Yeah. I also think that Azkaban messed around with his head. He might be sane, but not all quite right in his head sometimes. Losing twelve years of his life had to been rough. And it was easier for Sirius to hate Kreacher since he represented all that he hated about his family. Wonder if he even liked his brother Regulus before he was sorted into Gryffindor. Still, Regulus did good in the end. And Sirius...got killed by drapery while protecting Harry (and taunting Bellatrix, the idiot). Tried to be a godfather but also seemed to think Harry was James. And Sirius was also as bad as a bully during school.
And that was rambly. But, yeah, I agree. ^_^
