Now for the good stuff
I downloaded the openings to Kingdom Hearts 2 on Saturday. Thankfully, I waited until today to watch them.
First thought: Holy crap, Marc was right! There is a Tron world!
Second thought: pretty....
Really, the opening of the game gets you through Kingdom Hearts I and Chain of Memories. It ends with the blond dual-keyblade wielding guy starting the game off very similar to how Sora starts KH.
The second opening revealed more of the game itself. (Before you go "what second opening?", this is the one that will play if you don't do anything after loading up the game. KH also had a game scene trailer opening that played if you let the game sit at the start menu. Seifer and his gang are in Twilight Town and giving the blond character a hard time too. (No, I don't know his name. Don't want to go looking to find out in case I spoil myself too much and I don't remember any game articles I've read that listed it.) Cloud and Squall, sorry, Leon back-to-back in one scene with Cloud in his Advent Children attire. A lot more of the Unknowns causing problems. And scenes from various worlds. The Tron one, besides the old school Mickey Mouse one, is going to be WEIRD! The Pirates of the Carribbean one looks cool for the brief scene there.
Oooooh, I can't wait! I plan on trying to finish Chain of Memories before KH2 is released. And I will be able to start on it again now that I have received my birthday money! (I planned on using it to help get a new GameBoy Advance SP since my other one is pretty dead.)
I also want the artbook to the series, but I'm not certain if one is going to be released. DigiCube, who was handling SquareSoft's artbooks, is out of business and their Kingdom Hearts artbook is awesome. So I'm going to keep an eye out for an artbook release from Square-Enix.
